Jeff Bezos’ Ritual That Works: Scientists Confirm the Effectiveness of the Billionaire’s Unusual Habit

This rule can be followed by everyone.

The lives of the world’s wealthiest people intrigue many, much like the lifestyles of movie stars or models. It’s hard to imagine their routines being the same as ours because if they did everything like everyone else, they might not have achieved such extraordinary results. Most successful entrepreneurs keep their rituals secret, but Jeff Bezos—one of the richest people in the world—is open about his habits. And anyone can follow them.

Jeff Bezos became wealthy early in life. After graduating from Princeton University, he quickly secured a prestigious position on Wall Street. After several years of gaining experience, he decided to start his own company, and success followed swiftly. Amazon brought in profits for its owner within the first year.

Since his college days, Jeff has maintained an “ironclad” rule: before starting work or school, he would go on a one-hour walk without a phone in hand. To this day, he hasn’t missed a single day of this routine. His neighbors see him on his morning walks before work, often accompanied by his dogs, but he usually prefers to walk alone.

According to Jeff, these walks enable his brain to function at its best, which is why he prefers to tackle the most challenging work tasks at the beginning of the day. After 5:00 PM, he refrains from making any important decisions.

Recently, medical experts have commented on this part of Bezos’ routine. In an article in the Daily Mail, licensed therapist Marisa Leffler, who specializes in treating anxiety and stress disorders at Stanford’s Lifestyle Medicine Program, acknowledged that this practice is far more beneficial than it appears. She explains that starting the day without a phone allows the body to wake up properly and align itself for productivity. The positive effects of such a routine are noticeable almost immediately.
